Sound for the thriller “Se7en”
Right at the start of the film there is a lot of background noise. But the background noise is screaming and police sirens which usually would be associated with something bad happening. This helps to put across that maybe the main character doesn’t live in a nice area of town or is surrounded by trouble. And also helps give out a slight bit of scare factor with the screams in the background. You can tell instantly that it’s not a family, happy film from these background noises.
The theme tune of the film builds up with bass which h

The actual theme song has got quite a lot of odd psychedelic noises in it to help let the audience know that this isn’t a light hearted film. One of the noises is feedback from a speaker which is known as a scary noise from many other thrillers such as The Ring, because that noise is considered as quite freaky and odd.
