music production

Once i had the finished edited film to work around i could work on producing the music for it. To produce the music i used the software "logik". For the begining shot i endorsed the sound of a phone ringing in the background because are main character was trying to get hold of some one to meet but everyone he had tried was not picking up. And the general sound of a phone ringing is quite a low pitch. And its generally low pitches that are used to create tension. The main idea for the music was to help create tension which is why i wanted to try and have a low end rumble threw out most of the film. For the mid section i used the low end of a midi keyboard to help add more tension and also to keep it quite quiet. I didn't use the usual formula for creating a piece of music with the snare of every second beat because it would of taken over the whole piece and would of added a lot of volume. i found a sample of a girl screaming and added a few low pass filters and re-verb to change it to a lower pitch.
